Mod Search 2017

Hello All,

It's that time once again, when we reach out and pluck out some members to join our moderating team. We will be adding new members to our nurse and skype moderating ranks. So what does this entail? Below is a brief guideline of expectations and responsibilities. 

 It is a LOT of work. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes here in PKMNation. Submissions, notes, receipts, etc come in on a daily basis. We expect you to help out with everything (unless asked otherwise). 

 You must work well and get along with the others. The mod team is a family. We want everyone to enjoy and feel comfortable working with one another, as well as have fun.

 You must be good with "Customer Service." After all, this is what we do on a daily basis. We expect you to be kind and courteous to our members, even if you are having a bad day. 

 A calm and level head is a definite plus.  We deal with all sorts of people, and we need to maintain a pleasant attitude with them; and we need to be able to handle problem with calm and reason.

 You need to have free time. If you are currently in school, have spotty online time or are away often, this isn't the job for you. 

 Skype is required in order to work here. It is how we communicate with one another and punch in our work. We use the Skype IM Chat for this. Video calls are not required.

 What happens or is discussed in the moderator chat stays in the moderator chat unless told otherwise. The moderator chat isn't just a place we work, it is also a place where we plan surprises and feel safe talking to each other. 

 Be able to take critiques and process to-do lists well. Have some initiative to create events and lend a hand in making graphics for the group.

 There is a lot of material to read before you can start working. We want you to understand how everything works before jumping in. There is also a 'Terms & Conditions' that you must read, sign and adhere to.

Note: The Terms and Conditions are an outline of what is expected from you as a mod. It is in no way binding you to the mod team. By signing and acknowledging the Terms and Conditions, you allow us to remove you from the Moderator Team in the event that you are not meeting work requirements. Once chosen, you will be able to read over the document and decide if the mod team is still the place for you.

 New moderators will be subject to a 30 day trial period to see how well they handle being a moderator along with how well they work with the current mod team.
